Couples counseling for when you feel stuck on repeat
You love each other, but the same arguments, distance, or stress keep getting in the way. Couples therapy gives you a calmer space to slow down, actually hear each other, and find your way back to being on the same team.
How Couples Counseling Can Help
Couples counseling isn’t about blaming one person. It’s about understanding the patterns between you and learning new ways to connect.
Clearer communication
Talk about hard things without shutting down or blowing up. Learn tools to listen, reflect, and respond instead of react.
Less conflict, more understanding
Notice the cycles you get stuck in again and again, and understand what’s underneath the arguments—like hurt, fear, or feeling alone.
Stronger emotional connection
Rebuild trust, closeness, and safety in the relationship. Make space for small moments of warmth, affection, and care.
A shared path forward
Get on the same page about needs, boundaries, and priorities. Create realistic next steps you both feel good about.
Couples Counseling FAQs
Who is couples counseling for?
Couples counseling is for partners who feel stuck—whether you’re arguing a lot, barely talking, feeling distant, or just want to strengthen your relationship before things get harder. You don’t have to be ‘on the brink’ for support to help.
What happens in the first session?
We’ll talk about what brings you in, what’s been hardest lately, and what each of you hopes will change. I’ll ask some questions about your relationship history and we’ll outline how we might work together. You’ll both have space to share your perspective.
Do we always come to sessions together?
Most sessions are together, but sometimes it can be helpful to meet individually for part of the process. If that makes sense for your situation, we’ll talk about it together and agree on a plan that feels comfortable for both of you.
How often are couples sessions?
Many couples start weekly to build momentum and safety, then may move to every other week as things stabilize. We’ll decide timing together based on your goals, schedule, and budget.
Do you offer online sessions for couples?
Yes. We offer secure video sessions for couples in our practicing state. You can join from the same space or separate locations, as long as you both have privacy.
Ready to Feel More Like a Team Again?
If you’re tired of the same arguments, walking on eggshells, or feeling far away from each other, you don’t have to figure it out alone. Couples counseling can help you slow things down, understand what’s really going on, and start to rebuild trust and connection. We’ll move at a pace that feels safe for both of you and focus on small, steady changes that make your relationship feel more manageable and more hopeful.
